Small Business Partnership Promotions
As a minority small business owner, while still working a 9-5 job in various industries, I have always felt it was my responsibility to recognize other like minded individuals with positive core values, paying it forward for those who have contributed to my growth and development throughout my career into the Leader I am today. Through continuous learning and hard work I have been very fortunate, humbled to have been a part of many experiences and accomplishments in roles I never imagined I'd get a chance to be a part of and successful in.
As an officer with one of the largest financial institutions in the world, where I founded and led charity fundraising sporting events for employees at the Tucson site, such as COED softball, 3 on 3 basketball and soccer tournaments raising thousands of dollars for local charities, I recognized the value in uniting others for the benefit of helping everyone. This carried over to my contributions with a prestigious worldwide non-profit member organization as I took the initiative to promote women and youths in an adult male dominated industry uniting members worldwide to work together for sustainable hunting and fishing opportunities equally. I was directly responsible for bringing in over $1.5 million dollars of contributions toward wildlife conservation from members during my tenure and creating meaningful relationships in multiple countries that recognized my efforts publicly.
Even when our personal beliefs don't always fully align, love overcomes those differences when we are willing to help one another achieve our respective goals. One of my most valuable contributions, personally, came as a volunteer youth sports coach in my community for almost 20 years at various levels and multiple sports that include football, baseball, soccer, basketball and club fastpitch girls softball among others. I have been both honored and humbled in helping many youths be positive contributors to their respective communities and proud of many who have continued on with their greatness. I am eternally grateful for those who have taken their valuable time to help with their support and mentorship, at times creating opportunities for me when there were none. I know those contributions provided to me comes from being a hard working and disciplined individual who, through mistakes and shortcomings, treats every role with the same focus and determination no matter what my pay is, always giving my best effort even if it is just sweeping floors.
The challenges small business owners face may vary based on the services we provide, however, there are also common roadblocks we must navigate thru such as a lack of capital to invest in our dreams or the lack of community support to allow us to thrive in being positive contributing members to our communities. We must do better to help one another even if it appears insignificant on the surface. Because, who else is going to do so for us? This page is focused on all of us who are doing just that, providing a service, product or skill to help make life better for all of us.
